Claire Sainsbury
Inspire Labrador Program Coordinator
Claire is originally from Cartwright, and now lives in Happy Valley–Goose Bay. In the Fall/Winter of 2025, she completed the Inspire program, which she attributes to teaching her about personal growth and leadership, while also reconnecting with her strengths.
She is currently studying in a Tourism and Hospitality program and working as an Indigenous Advisor with Farm to Cafeteria Canada, supporting initiatives that connect youth and communities to meaningful, culturally grounded programs. She is also actively in the process of sharing her knowledge as a Northern Games athlete, teaching others about the cultural importance and strength behind traditional Inuit games.
Outside of work, Claire spends much of her time with her partner and their two dogs out on the land; getting wood or water, going for walks, or simply enjoying quiet time outdoors.
