Fia Grogono

Yellowknife dancer Fia Grogono holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University in Montreal. With a movement repertoire informed by Contact Improv, Gaga technique, medical qigong, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, and somatic practices, Fia seeks to explore the world through movement cultures. She performs and teaches across Canada and internationally, and joyfully returns to Yellowknife to share embodied knowledge with her home community. You can usually find Fia dancing off grid, adventuring, or paddling her way through the wilderness.
